RandallStu 01-06-2005, 02:06 AM I have just joined this forum. Looks like fun. I am doing HO slot car racing at my house with my son. We are looking for some Fast and Furious cars to buy. I see the Johnny Lighting cars might be the ones. Are these HO 1/64 electric cars that can be raced on an electric HO set? Any good places to buy them?
Thanks
RandallStu

Of allthe slot forums out there,I have to say that this is without a doubt my favorite one.Good group of folks here, and you can really learn a lot.SOmeone here can always help you out.
As far as the Fast and Furious cars,.Johnny Lightning did in fact do a set of them. You should have no trouble at all finding a full set of them over on ebay for a reasonable price.

Captain Fred 01-06-2005, 07:32 AM Hobby Lobby carries them, but like Mike said, you can get a better deal on Ebay.

TK Solver 01-06-2005, 01:29 PM Welcome, RandallStu. The Johnny Lightning X-Tractions are my favorite slot cars. They're sort of a hybrid between the classic non-magnet cars and the high performance magnet cars. They're moderately fast but they require some skill and are tweakable. You can get lots of cars pretty cheap too. Cases of 12 go for around $110 including shipping (http://www.homestead.com/budshocars/budsho.html). You'll pay $15/car or more in some hobby stores. Have fun!
rodstrguy 01-06-2005, 02:03 PM Welcome Randallstu,
Ebay has a couple of sellers selling a case of cars for around $60 with shipping... that is the way to go... check out slots_n_stuff as the seller, he is a board member and a great guy to deal with.
roadrner 01-06-2005, 03:51 PM Welcome aboard & enjoy! rr
