Hello all,
Well, race #2 is in the books, we had 71 racers, some great competition and a whole lot of fun. 3 new records were set, SK Modifieds is now at 68 laps thanks to Rick Martin, Prostock has now been established at 74 laps by Rob Tourangeau and the Nextel Cup was moved up twice by Steve Salvas to 71 laps in 4:00.15, very close to that 72 lap mark. I would like to thank everyone for coming, we can't do it without you and I hope that everyone had a good time, I can't wait till Race #3 The March Meltdown on 5-6 March 2005, sponsored by: Simply Subs in downtown Barre. Hope to see everyone there.

Hello,

Does anyone have any preliminary results from the trophy race this past Sunday? I understand that 3 track records were set, but I was more concerned with who won the mains! With 71 racers, I am surprised no one has mentioned any results yet. I was there for the first round of heats, but had to leave after that.

Thanks,
Larry
P.S. GREAT JOB on the track and heating system!!!

Results are usually posted on BarreRc.com soon after the race. I'm sure Bob has just been busy lately and hasn't had a chance to do it.

Hi All,
Just thought it was time to bring everyone up to date on what's happening at Barretown R/C, Sunday the 17th of April 2005 will be the last Sunday race of the season, then we will start racing on Friday Nights on 22 April 2005 being our first one, from that point on we will be on our summer schedule threw September. We are also looking at building a outside dirt track to begin in the middle of May that would race on ether Saturday's or Sunday's not sure which yet, if you have a preference let us know. In the fall we will probably run the 3 race Trophy race series again this year and probably make them annual events, the only question would be with or without handout motors, again let us know your input. Well i guess that's all for now, I hope to see everyone at the tracks in the area.

Only 2 more weeks before the Turkey Shootout Trophy Race so, let's get those cars ready for one of the largest races in the Northeast. This could also be the last race at Barretown Speedway fuel costs and low attendance are causing us to make some decisions but, help us go out with the largest crowd we have ever had by joining us on 5-6 November for allot of FUN and competition. See everyone there.

Well the Turkey Shootout has come and gone. It was a great success, thanks to all who came. We have decided to continue the club at the present location for the rest of the winter. In order to meet our increased fuel costs this winter we have decided to increase our race fees by $5. Attendance has been good, apparently their are enough people out there that want the track to survive. We WILL be there for the next trophy race in January. Come as often as you can, but bring an extra $5.
