You and I are gonna have to sit odwn and discuss a possible trophy race in Febuary...since it will not interfere with the State Series!!!

Had the idea pop in my head and wanted it to download it from there to a piece of paper for you to think about.....call me sometime in the next week....call the cell phone!!!!!!!! House phone is out of service!!!!!!

Oh, almost forgots....HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Gentlemen.....

Fowler, how about a trophy race on the 15th with some real racers? Can you handle it next saturday? How about your boys from Ft. Wayne, Angola, and New Castle?

Z- Main Loser the "real racers" will be racing in New Castle getting ready for the Snowbirds...........maybe you should come.........O wait the rest of the world doesn't run what you guys do at Pete's..........6 cell stock........lol

and you guys wonder why your entries are low........pfft!

Sorry that 6 cell stock is to fast for the rest of the world. Whats the point of running 4 cell 19t when is the same speed as 6 cell stock and costs more. Plus to all the great drivers running 4 cell, come to Pete's and run 6 cell stock and see how real you really are. Besides, how many people racing at New Castle will actually be going to the Snowbirds? I'll get the boys together and go to FW and NC and put on a clinic.

Z-Main..........Have you ever tried 4 cell?

You must be a well rounded racer running the same track, same class, and the same drivers week in and week out. Everyone's always told me that if you run different tracks and faster competition that you yourself will get faster. I guess everyone's wrong and only the fastest racers in the world come from Elkhart, IN........home of 6 cell stock.

Why you have to be so narrow minded? All of us at Summit would welcome the competition. So please do round the boys up and lets have some fun.

i do remember last year that 3 of them came down and after the second heat they left and went down the road to showgirl 1 ......i think that fowler was whipping on them in 6 cell and they were running better lap times when they were running 4 cell ......

I happen to agree with both Metal, Dr. Moss, and OValrookie on their post here today.

Z-Main Loser "Fowler, how about a trophy race on the 15th with some real racers? Can you handle it next saturday? How about your boys from Ft. Wayne, Angola, and New Castle?"

Sure I can handle it, did last year....some of the guys there tried to whine and cry ..and run to management and said that I was being a hacker.....my philosophy is, hack me...I get even someway.......I got 2nd place last year in two classes at that race.......in both classes on got hacked and came back to challenge for the win.....How did you do last year??? Real racers race clean, and don't belly ache when somone who doesn't run there all the time and takes home a trophy! But I refuse to run there after what happened last year, having somone breathing down my neck wanting to kick me out for something I didn't start...is wrong

Z-Main Loser "Sorry that 6 cell stock is to fast for the rest of the world. Whats the point of running 4 cell 19t when is the same speed as 6 cell stock and costs more. Besides, how many people racing at New Castle will actually be going to the Snowbirds? I'll get the boys together and go to FW and NC and put on a clinic."

How you figure 6 cell stock is cheaper??? 4 cell batteries with good numbers are 45 a piece.....6 cells at your home track 94.00 (overpriced if you ask me!) and here is the worst part....the cells you are shown in the case are the leftovers from the top drivers who get first dibs! Got to our hobbyshop, and good batteries are available for everyone! .....tires every other week cuz somebody hacks your butt, crashes into you.....and to be honest....the 4 cell 19t drivers at new castle, and other tracks would be faster than 6 cell stock anyways......guys like Monti Panzica, Mark Recio, Dave Whitsell, and Eric Anderson would really put on a clinic in either class.....

I have been running both 4 cell stock and 4 cell 19t on occasion, and it is cheaper after you make the initial investment......I have been using the same tires on my 4 cell car for 2 months!!!!! Just ask Metal!! But I guess you can stay in your own little world dude, and miss out on the real racing action.....

And one more thing.....Just about every racer that is going to a Snowbirds warm-up race at either New Castle, Toledo, Michigan, Ohio, Iowa, and Illinios will be at the largest oval race on the planet....why??? Cuz they wanna race with the "REAL BIG DAWGS".....

Anyways.....Z-Main Loser....Please refrain from posting your smack here on this thread, create your own somewhere else and post the garbage elsewhere........

I think the track management, and hobbytalk is getting a little tired of it also!!!!!

New year, new thread.... let's keep our heads here. Most everyone that races more than just casually, is passionate about the class(es) they run, and passionate about their home track. Anyone that talks bad about either, tends to get a reaction back like someone said something bad about your little sister. Most of the time, the talk on the boards is light hearted ribbing and trash talking, but if not taken that way, can escalate quickly and get out of hand. Before we get to that point, let's realize that this is a Coke vs. Pepsi, Chevy vs. Ford., VHS vs. Beta type thing. (If you don't know what that last one means, then I just showed my age)
The basic idea is that each of you enjoys the class you run in so much, that you wish everyone ran that class. So much so, that you can't see why everyone else would not want to run it also.

Mark Recio

sorry what is......Beta ???

your right trash talk is trash talk to someone you know, but when you trash talk to someone you don't know well thats more than trash talk and usally leads to more than just talking.
boston vs yankees ....... colts vs new england......... pacers vs pistons....
Kris Fowler vs Jeremy Hofer ???? ok thats trash talk .......

anyway yes Z main loser if you want some guys to come up and race post some info on the track and what class your wanting us to run.....like weight, 6 cells, ect...

I might be interested in coming up and running sometime in Feb. or march and run some 6 cell is it mod or stock?

let me know whenyour having a big race

I just wanted to apologize for starting a big mess on this thread. I was just giving Kris a hard time and everyone jump my case. Kris and I go back to the days of racing at Bob Bean's track. I've ran 4 cell. Every since I started racing in Jan '93 I've ran nothing but 6 cell. I just started racing again after taking 2 years off. No, I'm not a one track wonder, before I took a break, I raced all over Indiana and Michigan. Even at Pontoon, the Tri-clone, and the Velodrome. When I started back racing in Oct. the first place I went was to Pete's because it is close by, I know everyone there, and I'm one of the top drivers there. I don't have the option to drive 50 to 100 miles every weekend to race now. I want to race so thats where I'm at now. As far as batteries, Fusion's at Pete's are $5 cheaper than the website. Plus the only thing I buy from him is T&M tires. I don't like buying from him because he only want to sell you what he uses. I get my batteries from a well-known matcher from Arizona whom I've been doing business with for the past 8 years. I plan on getting a 4 cell 19t setup together for next fall so that I can race at different track. But for now running 6 cell stock is my only option now. I want to thank Jason for at least showing interest in wanting to race there. Pete's track is like every track, if enough people show for a class it will run. If a group of people want to get together and run a 4 cell class they can. I want to be able to run 6 cell with the regulars and 4 cell 19t with some out of towners. I'm hoping too that I might make it down to NC next month or March to run some 6 cell mod if thats still going on.

I've NEVER ran 4 cell before. Thats what I meant.

Hey Zmain loser

hey man don't apologize to anyone.......If your talking trash then your talking trash.
This is why we talk on this web site is foe that reason. I mean that and info are the only 2 reasons i even get on here.
good luck to ya

also a quick question to ya
are you guys having a trophy race in march ? feb. ?

Alittle info for ya
if you plan on traveling next year to run at other tracks you will want to carry both 19 turn motors and stock motors....some places haven't had good turn outs in 19 turn so you might have have to run stock. (new castle runs mainley 19turn and fort wayne 4 cell stock)

I would be intersted in coming up to your track and running 6 cell stock
i've never ran 6 cell stock but i would try
I think i have a 6 cell pack

just got caught up on this thread.boys boys what jason says is true. who cares how many cells or what kinda car you are running. we all race and play with our rc cars for fun.traveling from track to track having fun and meeting new people.and as far as your track at petes.at least you have a track in your home town.i have to drive at least an hour every weekend to race. so keep supporting petes.and as far as fowler goes....well, he knows we all love him, just takes the joking serious sumthimes.i would run 6 cell stock if you ever came to new castle.the bush guys have let me run 6 cell stock with them before,so i say come on out.get some people togher for ft waynes trophy race in feb. and i'll run 6 cell stock with you there also.

anyway you ft wayne guys that havent been to new castle yet, this would be a good weekend to come down and check it out. cause the last leg of the state championship is there.

KenBajdek

Krisfo, you need to get your facts straight before shooting your mouth off! The 6 cell packs you are comparing are the high end fusion cells assembled vs loose 4 cell packs. And when it comes to buying batteries everyone has an equal chance to buy any battery motor etc. We welcome anybody to our track and don't bulls*** the out of town drivers with fake setup help when it comes to gearing or tires like a group from Fort Wayne did 2 years ago. We promote a friendly racing environment with an equal chance for everybody. Most drivers like myself I race the competition the way they race me if you hack I'll hack, if you race clean I'll race you clean.

Also in response to the 4 cell vs 6 cell is that the track owner and the majority of the "regulars" who race every week and (most important) thosem who support their local hobby shop want 6 cell stock. We don't fix anything that isn't broken. Besides many of the drivers run many classes that use 6 cells. How much fun would a 4 cell mod sprint car be??? or a 4 cell mod pan car? It is about the speed. I would like to see the Nextel Cup teams getting the memo about dropping the V8 for a 4 cyl because it is the newest "Fad". Every track has a different racer base and each is unique.

I thought the 4 cell 19 was faster than 6 cell stock? You ran 63 laps with your 4 cell 19 and the 6 cell stock group ran 67 to 68 laps. Most of the bush racers ran 63 laps. I even drove the 4 cell 19 that John brought and wasn't impressed at all. I ran faster with a closed endbell motor than with the 4 cell car.

jason crist
01-16-2005, 09:18 PM
Kenbajdek

Hey man your right if not broke then don't fix it......
but when you compare 19 turn against 6 cell stock
you can't take one your best drivers in 6 cell stock and put them up against Kris Fowler
(no offence Kris) if you want to compare then you'll have to go to a neutral track and run your best again and person who is a good 19 turn driver.

but back to whats important

it's your track and you guys race there if you want to run 6 cell stock then run it.

good luck
jason

I just want to congratulate Kris for finishing in the top 3 in his class saturday. Oh wait, there were only 3 cars in his class. I was surprised to see Kris there after the things he said about everyone that races at Pete Russell's R/C Speedway. Like Jason says, what people race at different track is up to the people who race there so the issue isn't about 4 or 6 cells. The issue is about a person who jumps from track to track because everywhere he goes he make enemies with everyone. I was surprised at how many people from different tracks and areas that showed up saturday had something bad to say about that person. Whether the incident happen this weekend or 5 years ago, the stories were all the same. Racing is suppose to be fun. So why go out and make enemies everywhere you go? Where can you race after you get kicked out of every place with in a 200 mile radius of your house? Kris , I heard you were looking for me, well you did even if you didn't know it. Despite qualifying 11 out of 16 cars, I was stuck in the heats with Ken. Get rid of the HD car and have someone do your motors Ken. LOL. I raced my way through the heats and made the last spot in the A. Ya, I got smoked in the main finishing 5th. So Kris, who am I? As to everyone else, keep having fun and do what it takes to race and keep this sport alive.

I'm going to try and round up some more 6-cell guys in the next few weeks and see if we can get enough to show up and race over there on 2-26 (but we will have to see, some of the guys don't like to travel very much).
