View Full Version : New Castle, IN Snowbirds warm-up 1/15
S Brown 01-05-2005, 10:21 AM Sounds like another great group of racers from all over the Midwest, and maybe a few East coasters. Doors open at 8am racing at 4pm.
I'm in for 1/12th mod and maybe 6 cell mod.
"Frank Ulbrik" 01-05-2005, 03:31 PM 6 cell
jason crist 01-05-2005, 05:44 PM wow watching 1/12th scale mod would neat just like the 6 cell mod was.
I'm in for 4 cell mod....... I'm doing what this one old wise man told me to do i think he was like 50ish he told me after my race at new castle the new years day race
this wise old man said to put the car in a bag and seal it and put snowbirds or bust....
for the life of me i can't remember who the old wise man was but some odd reason the number 15 sticks in my head.....lol
did i mean 4 cell mod i meant 19 turn

You'll only get better if you come run again this saturday....the competition will be very close to what snowbirds will have to offer.

Mark Recio 01-11-2005, 10:43 AM Mangler,
They are talking about you on another thread. Something about real racers or something...It didn't SOUND like it had anything to do with TQing, but never the less, there's your name next to the phrase 'real racer'.
Monti007 01-11-2005, 11:28 AM Mark,
Though my name was next to that phrase you did not see Sonny's and that is whats important, people can tell the difference between quality and hack!
-Monti-
Mark Recio 01-11-2005, 11:35 AM eeeeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyooooooooouuuuuuuuucccccccccc cchhhhhhhhh
S Brown 01-11-2005, 01:24 PM Just like they can tell the difference between a winner and a qualifier. Only a few remember the pole sitter for the 500. But everybody remembers a winner.
Maybe if you would learn how to close the deal every now and then you would understand the feeling.....
j21moss 01-11-2005, 01:25 PM eeeeehhhhhhhhhhh
bluelineracer 01-11-2005, 02:06 PM while i'd like to agree with you sonny...it seems that they do forget.
it's selective memory......and it's contagious.
dk
huffrcman 01-11-2005, 04:29 PM Maybe it was the quality of the hack that they remember most.
"Frank Ulbrik" 01-12-2005, 07:29 PM Anybody plan on running 6 cell mod again? I've got some new motors to play with.
Monti007 01-13-2005, 04:51 AM Frank
I am not sure if I will have a speedo to put in my car if I get mine back I'll run with ya.
-Monti-
"Frank Ulbrik" 01-13-2005, 10:20 AM Is Koback running 6 cell this year. Havn't seen him in a while
S Brown 01-13-2005, 10:35 AM You will see the Koback this weekend, but it will be in a 4 cell car, and maybe a 1/12th scale.
"Frank Ulbrik" 01-13-2005, 12:14 PM Cool.
jason crist 01-13-2005, 02:40 PM WHAT TIME DOES THE TRACK OPEN FOR PRACTICE FRIDAY ?

haysreeling 01-16-2005, 10:39 PM Some quick results of qualifying from what i can remember:
1 Monti Panzica 68 4:01
2 Kevin Kobak 68 4:02
3 Mike Ulbrik 67 4:?? Mike had a very fast car but had some bad luck.
4 Sonny Brown 67 4:01
5 Mike Dugan 67 4:03
19 Turn
1 Hays Reeling 64 4:03.1
2 Bill Malicoat 64 4:03.6
3 Dusty Kemp 64 4:03.7
4 Corey Heft 63 4:00
5 Jason Crist 63 4:02
6 Jamie Hanson 62 4:00 Jamie had 64 lap car, but had some bad luck in the last round. He definately had the fastest car in the main.
7 Dominic Reese 62 4:02
Very close qualifying 4 cars within a second. I couldn't get my car to turn in the main and Bill Mallicoat took the lead off the bat and went on to win with Dusty Kemp running second.
I want to congratulate Bill on having an awesome run saturday. I know hes been working hard to get faster and stuck with it and it finally paid off. Nice run Bill.
All I can remeber is Chris Ulbrik Tqd and won stock with a 58 4:03, very fast run
Dave Wittsel, Andy Stotts, Dusty Dean, I think all had fast 56, or 57 lap runs.
Frank Ulbrik tqd and won 6 cell mod with a fast 69 lap run i believe, maybe 70?? Monti was second.
Good turnout this weekend. See you guys later.

I would like to thank DK for helping me with some set-ups and maybe most important the body mount. Look forward to racing again on the 29th. Also Thanks to Dave W. for the cars and batteries.
