I was hoping to pick some brains of you fellows here. I plan on purchasing a nitro buggy soon and am interested in opinions you may have on them.

I am leaning towards a 1/10 tamiya nitro thunder due to some favorable reviews I have seen in recent publications. I don't quite have the cash to lay out for a decent 1/8th scale quite yet, probably next year.

I want to be sure that a 1/10 4WD buggy can race in the same category as other 1/10 scale 4WD off roaders.

Thanks for the input.

I can be reached at jeremiah_jacobs@hermanmiller.com

Its hard to say Dave last year at the beginning we were getting 10 to 15 a week and it fell off as the season continued so what I can say is get out there and get the season off to a strong showing and continue that through the year.

And your allways welcome in the OFNA Castle!!!!!!!!!! Weve got TV, DVD, Playstation, and A George Forman Grill For burgers.

The 10th scale 4X4 class hasnt been real big as of yet we have had a few show up and generally they were put in with the 10Th scale nitro 2WD trucks.
But Chad and Nolan Put together a totally awesome track layout late last year and once the word gets out look for all the classes to start to grow!!!!!!

It takes 3 to make a class, so talk to your friends and get them into the hobby.

SeeYa at WOOR!!!!!!!!!! You can find me livin large in the OFNA Palace with my HOMMIES

It looks like i'll be picking up an OFNA PBS w/ starter box from Tower Hobbies in the next month or so. I know I wanet to go to 1/8 scale eventually so I may as well start now.

I just have to recover from replacing a starter in my 1/1 car. Ugh.

Is it summer yet???? Sheesh I cant wait to kick some ofna butt!! OOhh yeah and I have made a few changes ,well ok I made notes to make the changes as soon as I can walk on the track without sinking to my knees. I am moving the long straight away to the other side of the track for this year (far side) The big burm will remain but will be run backwards, The starting gate will remain also but will lead onto a 40-50 right hand short shoot sweeper (flat). And yes the big jump will be axed this year (sigh). These are just a few things to keep you interest peeked while you guys look at your buggys collecting dust.

What are, if any, rules for running stadium trucks, buggies, and monster trucks? I guess the main thing I would like to know is engine size, tire size and type, and body limitations?

I've been bashing for a little over a year, and I am looking for the thrill of the race. I just don't know what I want to race yet. I have a GT & MGT now. They are not race ready. I can't decide if I want to race one of them, or get a 1/8 buggy.

On a average race last year, how many of each would show up to race? Last year, I watch the trophy race, and there were only like three monster trucks. It looked like the buggies and stadium trucks had about the same number of entries. Is this about normal each week?

If I were you broncobill I would get an 1/8 scale buggy thats the majority out there and that is what the track is best suited too, It's a good crowd out there and they would be glad to have another 1/8thscaler in the mix

We had anywhere from 2-10 stadium trucks and the same with monster trucks. The monster truck class was growng every week.you can run any motor you want I think.I will check with Chad next time i see him.come on out and bring what ever you have to run.Its always a good time at woor.If you think you want to try 1/8th buggy we always have a good turn out in that class.Hope to see ya this spring.

This year I think I will race my GT. I just spent over $350 for this. The biggest item was for the JR XS3. Then radio and receiver packs, peak charger, tires, rubber sealed bearings, and some other stuff. If I really like racing, then I'll probably step up to a 1/8 buggy. I may even bring out my MGT and race that too. About when does the track open? Come on spring!

To get a mars date he is going to have to do some work. He will have to fill out an application and put together a proposal that explains everything that the mars series is looking for in a track, I hope he jumps through the mars hoops though as it would be nice to have a mars race that close to home.

Just wish spring would come sooner. Can't wait to get some dirt in my viens. 'Bout had enough of carpet.

Hello, I'm originally from Grand Haven (east end near Fricano's) and return now and then to visit my parents. I'd like to check out your track this spring/summer. I checked the first 20 to 25 pages of your 2003 & 2004 WOOR threads but all the pics were red X's and none of the links to a website worked. Could someone post pics (track & action) and or a link to your website. Thanks.
