My Favorite Martian prototype die cast set first look

For all of you fellow science fiction fans, take a look in the die cast forum under the Greenlight section.
You will see a photo of the Martian Plymouth Fury set, it would have come with a in scale copy of the spaceship and a tiny Uncle Martin.
So take a trip over to the world of Die Cast's and see a exclusive look at the almost My favorite Martian product from Greenlight..it would have been so cool

The ship..

Sadly we never got that far..it would have been in scale with the Plymouth.

the set would have had a trailer with it as well.. just like the show to take the ship around..

The problem was they were just not into science fiction at all..so they did not get it..

Mind you we may get a die cast car/spaceship set yet!

Or you could do a car and trailer plastic kit in scale with the existing Pegasus kit.
I'm sure Pegasus could handle that, plus the car kit could be sold alone without the MFM reference.

The tooling costs on that would be intense, and then a second deal would need to be struck for the rights to the car...too much..

And yes..a possible bobble head of Uncle Martian and the ship is in the works..togehter with another product that will make spaceship fans really happy.. to find images of the almost die cast..go to forums..then hit die cast..then look on Greenlight collectibles page..and there you are..

A couple of thoughts.

I see that the proposed diecast was 1:64. Personally, that's way, WAY too small to be of interest to my middle-aged eyes. I wouldn't even have bothered with a 1:43 scale. That's still too small. Another personal preference but I also would have preferred the more unusual TR4 used in the pilot and first season.

Revell recently made a very nice 1/18 scale TR4 diecast. I don't know if it's still in production (seems to be in short supply on the net).

I'd explore the possibility of making a deal with Revell in the same way that others used to make make deals with Revell-Monogram to make a production run of monster kits and sci-fi kits which they would then sell under their own label.

Revell already has the tooling for a nice 1/18 1963 TR4 which they've sold in various versions and colors. I'd see if they would be interested in selling you a run of white TR4 street cars which you could put in a collectible MFM boxing. BIG BONUS: your kit and Uncle Martin figure (which I have built BTW...great kit) are in matching 1:18 scale. That's got all the makings of a perfect diorama.

Wow..that's a great idea..

That would be great I really love the TR4, when they stopped using the car on My Favorite Martian..they sent it across the lot and it became Jack mullaney's car on My Living Doll.
This would be a Pegasus Hobbies deal, for sure I would back them if they did a combo set..it would be just great fun.
And your right that would make a really fun display, put the ship on a trailer just like the pilot show..

Certainly within the model industry, different companies reboxing each others products to serve different markets is very common. Revell sells reboxed Hasegawa kits. Accurate Miniatures reboxes Special Hobby kits and sells them under their own brand. Academy and Hobbycraft sell many of the same kits. In most cases, they just change the markings and box art. Special Hobby sells a 1/48 F2G Super Corsair as Race 57. Accurate Miniatures sells the identical Special Hobby kit with decals and box art for Miss Port Columbus.

So the idea of Pegasus boxing Revell's 1/18 TR4 is certainly not unprecedented.

I just found this link where they sell it as a Jadi/Revell
