Hey Doc. You can run a Novak XRS. Or if you have an extra Traxxas XL-5 will work too. I am going to try an XL-5 in mine. I have an XRS for a back up.

XRS has been discontinued from Novak.. I had 1 sent into Novak and they are done with them so I had to get a brushless Edge..

I just needed to know, so I guess that cup class will not work for me.

Also any word on maybe running ovals this winter on Sundays the way it use to be. Thur. nights for me are almost impossible for me to make.. once again.. just asking

Indy RC has several legal brushed esc's you could trade that edge for.

Sunday is offroad practice. Thursday is the only oval practice and race time during the week.

Hope you guys had a good night on the oval tonight, I wasn't there due to some Cub Scout obligations.

I would be interested in knowing car count and if someone was able to knock Yelle off the top of the podium (without crashing him)?

Will be able to run the road course tomorrow night though.

Congrats to Walt Arthur on winning the Stock Slash Truck A-Main, Dan Layton for winning the Pan Car Stock Cup A-Main and to Bob Yelle for winning the Stock Slash Late Model A-Main.

Fun night, thanks for coming!

No Tour classes. Indy RC only races ovals on Thursday nights. Their biggest nights are for off road and on road racing.

What Dan says is true, but I think if you ask Chucky he'll tell you that if you get two or three buddies to show up with the same class car, they'll create a race for you.

They're very accommodating...

I'm going to chime in here. I just find it hard to believe that they are not willing to accomidate a weekend race day for the oval racers. I remeber when we raced our 1/10 sliders there on Sunday after ol Burke shut down, before R/Car opened, it was damn near standing room.

Now with R/Car shut down, and somewhere around 30 or so sportsman trucks in the indy area alone, not counting 17.5 open, 13.5 open & spec, SK's, 12th scale,Sliders, Slash oval.... You would pack them in on a Sunday.

I usually race on the oppisite end of I-69 because it is closer for me but, I would come down there and race some oval if I could make it down there on a weekend.

Just a thought.

Brad

Trucks on this track are a real HOOT! Lots of fun. I'd like to see the ice moved a bit away from the barriers from the photos.

Oval racing is Thursday night starting at 7pm. There is no oval racing on weekend, Indy RC runs 2 carpet offroad programs on Saturday and carpet offroad practice is Sunday. I used to race oval on Sundays and it was BARELY ever 1/4 full. Next to shotty attendance nobody got along and the people who showed up for fun were run off by the people who'd spend a hundred bucks for a tenth... Yeah, that's a blast! Good luck!

Brad is right. Just back in 2009 Tuesdays' and Sundays' were oval days and it was standing room back then. Had to be there when the doors opened to get a pit space. With the success they have with off road, they don't need to worry about oval. However if they tried a Sunday program for oval it might surprise them on turn out if we don't get another track. Not everybody can make Thursdays' but I may haft to try.

With the comment about spending about a hundred bucks to get a tenth, that isn't entirely true in most cases. Different setups can gain you a tenth. Though I have seen guys spend thousands to win a race. But that is few and far between. Mostly just setup. But I do understand what your saying.
