csx 2300 joy ride

In 2002 I was asked to lunch way out of town (New Orleans) in the bayou with some friends and Jim Spiro who owned the CSX-2300 Shelby Daytone Coupe. We drove 45 miles to the seafood restaurant where we ate and then I got strapped into the Daytona Coupe for the ride back to town which about 20 mile was the 2 lane Hammond hwy. where we drove 145 mph until we merged onto Interstate 10 for the rest of the ride back. The car had ad on turn signals and side mirrors with a license plate to drive on the road. Another guy in the group owned the Ferrari "BREADVAN" and a year later he road me full out around the race course at No Problem Raceway in Donaldsonville, La. Another day I'll never forget!
