2017 Isle of Man

James Hillier limbering up for the TT races...

Typical British weather has hampered practice, but they got some running in... they're cramming more practice in all weekend. Racing starts Sunday and goes all week.

John McGuinness won't be racing the TT this year, after breaking four vertebrae and his right leg at the Northwest 200 two weeks ago.

TV Coverage starts Saturday though...

You can tell he knows every inch of the course.
Interesting to watch with the sound off too.

I've done some mighty crazy stuff but I need 4 wheels.

It's like you're near death every second.

I think that current records are just under 17 minutes to 20 minutes for the two man bikes. And the course is 37.8 miles! So add 12 more minutes of insanity to that leisurely ride above. indeed

I think the tunnel vision of the on-board camera makes it even more dramatic, but that is mighty fast and one particularly dangerous motor race. One mistake and it's all over, like the Isle of Man rider who slammed into a building right in front of cameras and spectators a year or two ago, caution flags up and the race goes on.
