The car is number 632 in the nascar regsistery.....the guy has all the paper work his name is steve he has owned it since 2008 car was restored in 1998 and was owned by the designer from nasa that designed the daytona and superbird along with the charger 500...the car resides in slidell la.....pics were taking at edgewater mall in boloxi ms.....

indeed, had the magazine article been factual. in this instance, however, it was more an example of artistic license, be it from the story teller or the author of the article.

Im glad someone backed me up on the other forum on this car...and that was the name i was looking for that orginally onwed it..........and its signed by richard petty on the dash

you could not have asked for a better authority than aero426. he is the president of the daytona-superbird club, and has accumulated decades worth of information in regards to these cars.

you're welcome. if someone is into wing cars, they can spend hours upon hours reading through the threads there.

there was no intent for "correction"; it's always great to double and triple check sources and production figures when it comes to Daytonas. the existence of the original shipping list is a great starting point, but there are even a few duplication errors found on it.
