New Robbie the robot Sound& Light kit

I was doing a build for a client last month of Robbie the Robot from Forbidden Planet.
The client sent me a light kit that worked ok, but no zing to it at all.

I met a guy here in Colorado,. Stan who owns Starling technologies.
We started talking about how to add more bang for the buck to the robot.
THIS is what he came up with..

Click on the imageabove to hear one of the 14 phrases it says.
The kit is fully assembled, no soldering skill needed. it comes with fiber optic thread, a tube that channels the voice light..it's really cool! This guy loves what he does and it really shows.
The price is 90.00 including shipping, considering the one I used in my build was 49.00 and did nothing..this is a smokin deal.

I'm doing a build of the kit over in SciFi

Wouldn't it be a kick in the head if Moebius decided to make Robby the robot in 1/6th scale or bigger.Meanwhile, this lighted Robby should be satisfying enough.

That is a great Idea. The light kit would fit both.

Stan is modifying this sound and light kit to work in the PL YM3 Robot as well.

That project will start in a month or so.
