toy r us and big lot

hello all,
today i went to toy r us and big lot store.
i went to big lot because i saw from reddit hot wheels, they sell hot wheels 3 pack for $3. it is true and it is not under promotion. wow..., at walmart it sell $3.89 if iam not wrong. but i can't find nice car inside that 3 pac, so i don't buy any.

just side by side is toy r us store, so i drop a while. wow..., after so long not go to toy r us, it is amazing what die cast available at toy r us compare to walmart.
their m2/ johnny lighting/ other more "advance" diecast is really many more compare to walmart. of course with price from $3.99 to ...
beside that so many clearance sale too. few of them that i hold more than 5 minute is batman vs superman white car with superman figure clay. it is on sale for $1.98 but then i remember this car available too at 5 pack batman vs superman. so i just need wait longerrr n patiently until it available at aldi that usually during thanksgiving for $3.98
the other one is matchbox with discovery shark week card art for $1.49.
i keep thinking, is it worth for extra $0.49 for a card that have shark bite shape. and the end i also not buy it.
the other sale on those "advance" diecast are still around $2-3 range

i guess most of you when go to toy r us will easy spend $30-50 right
there is walking dead jeep with small trailer + cute trailer ram for $5.99 it is so nice.
there is also many car and driver magazine edition for many sport car. wow..., really nice all

because i spend more than 15 minute(i guess) looking those nice "advance" diecast suddenly the toy r us staff come to this die cast alley. since i decided not to buy any of those "affordable" sale die cast, i talk to the staff on how the hot wheels price is different compare to other store like walmart. surprisingly he said toy r us can do price match too if you are not buy in a lot of quantity.
wow...., i start look at hotwheels pegs if there is something that i don't have and want try if really they can do price match. finally i get this two new nice car and it works for the price match.
even i only buy 2 cars, i am happy can buy hotwheels at toy r us as same price with walmart price!
so...., if you want save few cents, try you luck too at toy r us

Thanks for the info.
Sadly the nearest one to me is over an hour and a half away, and even when I do go the selection is always two mixes behind.
The 3-packs at big lots, I've seen and haven't bought very many of them because I already have them.

In today's world of giving away the store to literally everybody as 'good customer service' you should always ask for a pricematch EVERYWHERE.
