hello all,
anyone found fast and furious 2017?

Yup. Local reseller bought entire bin at one of my local Walmarts. Saw one at another Walmart .....looked at inventory and only 81 out of the 648 sold but someone pulled all the Roadrunner out of it. That was one I had wanted. Went through entire bin and found a couple he missed , plus I grabbed the white supra...lots of everything except the Roadrunner. Checked other stores in my area on brickseeker and they are slowly hitting stores. I wonder if the stores that got the 2017 bins will get the FF cars...

Here's what I found at a Walmart near me tonite. Couldn't find any "bins" anywhere in the store

Really didn't think the Roadrunner would be the one that would be hoarded... the collector's were saying they used the wrong cast (should have been the 70 Roadrunner they used in the Modern Classics series). The one targeted was the white Supra.
personally, I'm really just wanting the black Johnny Tran S2000

even scalper has professional title, not bad :D
Yes that element, mind set exists within the hobby although can be a controversial topic.

Hot Wheels Im enjoying the enthusiasm its refreshing ... :smile2:

While I think amassing a horde of any identical model is impressive in its own respect, these F&F cars are released
in straight cases so relatively speaking its fairly easy to acquire them in lots. On the other hand, It takes a lot of
time, money and dedication to assemble an identical casting same paint scheme lot when only one or two examples of
the specific model are found per case with the correct codes. Simply sharing from my experiences.

Cheers

Yeah i have seen him. I suspect many who say they never see exclusives are in an area that have these mega resellers. There's at least two in my area. One has 200 sets for sale of these ff on eBay right now. He cleaned out at least two stores. When I got my first FF set in 2015 it was a bit easier to get them. But they have gained even more popularity.(probably due to the first release of the Nissan which commands a price of 15 bucks)
It's probably Walmarts most hoarded exclusive set.

There's two ways to get around the resellers though.1. Use brickseeker like they do 2. don't buy them for three times the price on ebay. It's people buying these things at inflated prices that's fueling these guys to buy whole bins up.

tuesday already and i saw many people with of course many different photos got their "many" set of this ff series at reddit hotwheels :(
it's been 1.5 weeks i guess since it start available at walmart.
again i guess, it's gone already in my area.

from brickseek the nearest from buffalo is 30 miles(mean 60 miles for return journey) that still show 648 in qty available since 2 days ago. is it worth???
there is no scalpers for sure in that area :D

next time i change car, i will try buy hybrid or electric that has minimum 50 mile/ gallon :D

A buddy of mine told me he found them at a store by us last night. He sent me a picture that made it look like they had just been pegged.
I went by this morning and an employee was pegging a new case of them - seemed like most of what was there last night was gone. Looks like they are slowly putting them out to prevent them all being gobbled up at once. Or maybe they just don't want to put out a dump bin.

I don't get why the R34 Skyline is the casting of choice for this assortment. It's been released before, it seems to be in equal numbers as the others, why that one this time?

I'm so sorry about your daughter. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your family and your Friend's. I hope and pray your daughter feels better pretty soon. Remember Family is more important than hotwheels. Family always comes first before hotwheels. But hopefully after your daughter comes home and gets out of the hospital hopefully when you do have the money you will be able to find some new hotwheels then.

That photo is amazing. I don't know if I like it or hate it. And hate it only because it encourages me to be less careful in my own diecast hoarding.

Assuming that such a number of one model is for resale, there's a risk that there will not be aftermarket demand. Some sets are well distributed, others not. So far, this F&F set appears to be well distributed. I'm finding it in my Walmarts in abundance and it is easy to find every model in the set. Who's buying them on ebay if they're available at retail for $0.94?

It sold quickly in my area...But for the first time with the FF cars some stores got a few cases In after their bins sold out. So I'm gonna have to agree that this FF set will be the most abundant out of all of them. Yeah that guy is gonna have a hard time selling all those quickly. I have seen some sellers drop their prices from 35 bucks a set with shipping to 20 bucks with free shipping...

finally i got this series.
the skyline has nice decal
the supra has nice back light sticker.
the porsche has rubber/plastic look like rear "wing"
the honda, even in black color, but the decal is quite nice.
the plymouth, just classic with mini hemi sticker :grin2:
i don't take the escort and corvette
i also found datsun pickup that has m3 bmw strip look like :grin2:

when i got these car, i meet nice guy who bought 3 set of this series.
still plenty of each of car(maybe 8-10 each). i really wonder how the scalper can clear 1 specific model or for the entire cars.

Congrats on the finds, the hunt was fun aye ... :smile2:

One way a service provider saves time extracting the chronic is to bring a shopping cart and load all cars into the
basket while sifting through separating any desired models. Then simply unload the cart of rejects back into the bin.
