Treasure Hunt vs Super Treasure Hunt

I know this question must have been asked and answered multiple times before, but what is the difference between a TH and a Super? And how can a person tell?

super has rubber wheels and is supposedly more rare.

I hate this for what its worth. back in the days when you found a T-hunt there was only one kind and it always had the rubber wheels.

Also, the paint is different between the two. Supers have a spectraflame finish while regulars have a well, regular finish. There is a difference in the treasure hunt notation on the card as well.
TREASURE HUNTS = Regular Hunt
TREA$URE HUNT$ = Super Hunt

Thank you. I've been collecting a long time, but I'm new to the Hot Wheels part of it. I appreciate it very much.

There seems to be some inconsistancy in this actually. There are regular TH's and Super TH's that share the same paint - which isn't always Spectraflame. And then others where the paint differs. T-Hunts, both reg and Super, also don't always have metal bases either. The only real Super Hunt constant though seems to be the presence of Real Rider tires.

I've always wondered why they can't get that windshield right. It looks like an error, but every single one is like that.

Yeah, and this is one of my favorite Hotwheels castings........I dont think Ive ever found one at a thrift shop or a garage sale that had the windshield intact.

yea, all they had to do was make that mustang a hard-top and it would have been an awesome TH!

..but a rehash of an almost 30 year old cast with a screwed up windshield and nothing else really oustanding about it is a fail...just an opinion

They should have used (2) mounting tabs instead of just one in the center of the window. One on each end of the window would have given it much more stability.

I don't exactly remember, but I do seem to recall a hardtop version of that mould somewhere.

Oh well, it does have a opening hood...
