Moebius Model Club

It's ten bucks and you get a ten buck coupon so I figured why not.

They sell kits ten bucks more than anyone else. But that's not the problem. The coupon won't work. I emailed them about this, they said they'd fix it in a day.

That was over a week ago. I've let them know it still doesn't work but they don't bother to email me back.

So it's really throwing away ten dollars.

Nice company that makes great kits but my advice would be skip the model club.

I thought about joining but never followed through.
Aside from the $10 coupon, are there not supposed to be additional perks?- like advanced notices of upcoming releases and special offers for members only?

I hear your frustration with them, but have you tried another follow up email or calling them directly?

I actually was on the phone with customer service a little while ago and it is NOT that they are NOT taking the time to respond to emails, but they would rather SOLVE the problem first then answer ALL the emails at one time. It IS a shopping cart problem on THEIR end, but on some days there are ONLY three people in the building to process sales and shipping, receive trucks, etc. When they say they are a FAMILY company, they LITERALLY ARE: Frank and Joanne Winspur are TWO of the three people! While on the subject of family, the REALLY nice lady in customer service (who has only been on the job a few months BTW) is MARRIED to a REALLY nice member of this BB, who might also chime in at some point. BTW, not sure if you get a club card or certificate; at one point there was an embroidered patch and a pin, right now you receive two different pins. As for direct from manufacturer discounts, I think you are thinking of R2 who RARELY (if EVER) consider the folks they wholesale to when they offer exclusives or blow-outs online. Moebius will NOT undercut the folks who retail their products. At any rate, they ARE working on the problem, but on a personal note, if you are a figure collector/builder and are interested in some add-ons for Moebius kits, I will be glad to send out a parts set for either the 1966 Adam West Batman, the Broadway Dracula or the 1931 Frankenstein kit at N/C just as a courtesy to my partners at Moebius (and to MAYBE put MY money where my mouth is).

I do a set of eyebrow decals for the cowl and a Yagher sculpted Adam West replacement face for the Batman. The Dracula set is a vinyl ribbon from Aztec Dummy combined with a "fabric" decal from JT Graphics and an etched brass medallion from ParaGraphix to make the Count's outfit more screen accurate to the 1931 movie. I often put the AW set on eBay (I have four up there right now) but the Drac set just never took hold and I often throw them in when folks purchase other items. If you PM me your snailmail I'd be glad to throw the cowl decals and medallion components in an envelope and send a "karmabomb" your way. BTW, OP check your inbox, you SHOULD have an update from the customer service gal at Team Moebius (who was operating solo today, but took the time to field a phone call from me then check out this thread... kudos Shanna, hope the truck you were waiting on showed up on time! )
