Large Scale at Big Dog RC

We had 25 entries at our August 10 Asphalt race, 8 in the Large Scale A Main.
Howard K. won the 10min. A Main with 52 laps driving a 1/4 StockCar, Bill K. was 1 lap back in his 1/5 RedCat DuneRunner followed by Harold T. in the Rovan.

I think there were 7 different model vehicles in the 8 car Main, all with fast laps less than a second apart. Some cars had big speed down the straight where others could carry more speed through the turns.

Howard was the consistent one and took the win! He had the fastest car, but, with the flat track couldn't use more than 1/2 throttle.

We have averaged about 24 entries per event, running once a month. There's interest in running twice a month.

We'll try to get some video posted.

Great video Harold, I know Erich went out with the blue truck because of a steering link, there's a great shot of him going over the wall, full speed, in turn 3 at 4:02! What happened to you?

The store opens at 10:00am, but, you can still come early to practice. We have moved the timing trailer next to the track and have adjusted turn 4 to make room.

I sure wouldn't want to turn marshal those cars. I would keep everyone on the outside of the tires...? These cars will break a leg or foot in a second.
