Carrie Fisher suffers major heart attack on flight

So far she is holding her own but the outlook isn't good according to several sources.

I am praying for her to get past this, she is now in stable condition. A massive heart attack is deadly for women. I really don't want 2016 to end with this, the last word uttered by Princess Leia in Rouge One says it all, "Hope".

I tweeted her last night, told her to get well soon and to not let 2016 win another one.

I hope she pulls through. She's only 60. She should have a few more good years left. She appeared to be in very good spirits on her recent "The Graham Norton Show" appearance

"Stable condition" is medical-speak that essentially means the doctors are no longer using extreme measures to keep her alive; it doesn't necessarily mean she's out of the woods yet. It has also been reported that she wasn't breathing for 10 minutes, so if that's true some form of brain damage could also have occurred. On the other hand, much of what has been reported has been "So and so said...", so we don't really know any of the actual verified facts yet.

Considering there haven't been any public updates that I'm aware of for the last several hours I'm hoping "No news is good news" is coming into play, and that she'll experience a full recovery.

I know people who've had heart attacks and come out healthier than ever, since the attacks revealed medical problems that were fixed (like with a bypass). So here's hoping.

And thanks for the spoiler.

Well, it's not exactly a spoiler that Rogue One leads pretty directly to Ep IV, so...

Word is she was unresponsive and not breathing for as long as ten minutes on the plane. That's not good.

Yeah, but it was a spoiler as to how they would make that connection. Presumably that onscreen reveal was meant to be a "moment," now spoiled.

Hoping Ms. Fisher makes a full recovery, but having been through this with an old friend a couple of weeks ago, not optimistic.

With her history of drug use, I wonder about the cause. I had a doper cousin who had a drug related heart attack, and his doper buddies thought he just went to sleep. Well, he did, forever.
