I've been revisiting Hawaii 5-0 for years now. I watch one episode every Saturday during lunch. I'm up to season 11 now, the 1978 season. So let's see, at 24 episodes a season, that means I've been watching it for about 5 years.

The last few eps have been "very 70s" - one was about the local mob trying to take over "one of those new discos," featuring Evonne Elliman and James Darrin. There was far too much BeeGees music in that one. The last one I watched guested Mildred Natwick as a Miss Marple type interfering with the investigation of a crooked psychic played by Robert Vaughn. Two popular 70s themes at once!

The early seasons in the 60s were more enjoyable to me, just for the 60s atmosphere, which I find more interesting than the "me" decade.

I have a mental list of shows I'm thinking of revisiting. Hawaii Five-0 is a series I want to see again. I also want to see more of the Six Million Dollar Man (I've only recently seen Season 1). Others I'm interested in are Magnum, P.I., All In The Family, Barney Miller, Frasier, Secret Agent, The Avengers, The Man From U.N.C.L.E. and M*A*S*H.

My Man From UNCLE rewatch has stalled in mid-season three, because, oh my god, it got TERRIBLE!!! Is it the Batman syndrome, where all the genre shows at the time tried to be as camp as they could?

I'd love to revisit the Avengers.
But I haven't gotten around to getting all the DVDs yet.

I've got all the Diana Rigg and Linda Thorson episodes, AND The New Avengers.
I've watched all the Rigg disks through at least twice, and most of the Thorsons twice. I'll probably do the Purdy ones again too at some point. I pretty much love them all.

I've never seen the Honor Blackman episodes, so I didn't buy the disks when they were available. Now that I'm curious, I guess they're OOP.

This isn't geeky at all but it is old. We just checked The Bob Newhart Show season 1 out of the library and have watched four episodes so far. It is great as I remember watching it when it was on in the early '70s. I enjoy the laid back humor as well instead of the much more in your face humor in so many shows these days. While I remember the characters completely I do not recall any of the episodes themselves. And Suzanne Pleshette was gorgeous, my wife and her bear some resemblance. I also own the Wild Wild West series on DVD and we have been watching that one as well. I loved that show when I was the perfect age for it. It was on when I was between the ages of 13 and 17.

I did my WWW rewatch a few years ago and absolutely loved it. It did get a little too campy for about half a season (2nd? season I think?), but then it went back to its own cool self. The show kind of petered out toward the end, though, when Ross Martin was absent. The last few eps were kinda blah.

Maybe someone should do a "Revisting Quark" thread. Shouldn't take long at all.

I am revisiting all of the Star Treks. I finished Enterprise and am half through The Next Generation.

I noticed that Enterprise needs to be watched in order and it almost does not matter with TNG.

I'm not sure about the Batman syndrome. I remembered UNCLE fondly from my childhood as being a "serious" spy program. Tried watching the first few episodes and it seems to be 60s housewife escapist entertainment. I didn't make it any farther...

Some things are best left to memory.
