Rained a lot here yesterday and again today. I am 17 miles from the track but I was looking at weather radar and it seemed to also be over the track. Donna saod Charlie was at the track earlier this evening to try and get rid of the puddles.

For those who didn't read - news about Critters:

So a couple of rumors have been circulating about the track at Critters. So lets set the facts straight.

Its a tough economy in our Hobby, and the Summer Season is always hard on regional indoor tracks, and Critters is no exception. At this stage, Critters has had to look at its options and future, and has made the decision to close to the Indoor 1/10th Dirt Track.

The Good news - A small team of Critters friends and regulars have stepped up to take over the indoor dirt track for the forseable future. The track will be changing names, and operating as a seperate entity from the Hobby Shop. Critters, the Hobby Shop will remain open as normal.

The owners of the new track will operate the track initially to achieve two fundemental goals; Firstly, to keep the only Dirt Indoor Track in NJ alive and secondly, to pay the rent!

The new track owners are excited at the opportunities ahead, for Offroad 1/10th Indoor racing in the region. Some of the ideas being proposed are:
- 2 Weekly Club Races
- Club Membership with discounted fees, extended access, potential discounts at the hobby store.
- Sportsman classes encouraged and promoted
- Alighnment with other local tracks & Clubs
- Track apparel.
- Special events & More.

Watch this space for our Launch, News and Updates.

In the meantime, the next scheduled Critters Club Race will be June 9th.

-----------------------

I'm personally involved and am hoping we can make the track more appealing to the Novice/Intermediate crowd at DR - Hoping to get a Sportsman class going, maybe Stock Slash also, and possibly offering incentives for DR Club Racers. More news soon

Thanks Mark Stern for coming out and supporting us. Mark was tearing it up in 4WD SC last night.

You guys are all welcome, sportsman class is only $10 and we often give away prizes. Last night the winner won an SC28.

We're also giving away cool trophy stickers to Top 3 in all classes. If you guys have any questions about Indoor 1/10 Offroad Racing at 46RC, please feel free to PM me. Would love to have more Dirtrunners guys come race with us, and it doesn't conflict with the DR schedule.

Hey now! Its that time of the year again!
30th Annual Dirtrunners Challenge is coming up! We have many great sponsors supporting our cause.

This Dirtrunners Challenge is shaping up to be one of the best ones we've ever had. We have a lot of Sponsors for the raffles and door prizes. This year, the big raffles will be done TRICKY TRAY STYLE! That means, you put in tickets for what you want! No more first come, first served. The ladies of the club, Noel and Cherie, will be arranging that.

Adam is taking care of the advertising, the flyer, and the website! Such a great job with that so far!

The track surface will be prepped before the race, and we hope to accomplish a finely tuned track for the weekend. Dylan and Anthony will be heading up that project, hopefully with volunteers assisting.

Chef Sue will be preparing the delicacies for the weekend, Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, and whatever special thing that is decided on! David will be acquiring the food as usual!

Charlie will be taking the registrations, and tackling any issues that arise.

And finally, John will be announcing, and running the show. He's shooting for a supremely smooth and trouble free weekend, and to do that, he needs all of your cooperation.

Volunteers: Keep checking back to get the schedule of work days!
