Nope, never been to one. I heard of one in Worcester, but I think it's just a bunch of dudes that trade cars at a Denny's.

Matt, there's usually one in Dedham, one in South Attleboro, and the big model show in Taunton ..... I used to go for the models, later started looking at diecast. Used to know the dates, but haven't been in a while, sorry. Nothing here in Rhode Island.

I went to the one at Zandri's in Wallingford CT the past two years. I was pretty good. Many JL, Hotwheels, Matchbox, Muscle Machines and HO slot cars too. I'm pretty sure I will be atending this year also.

They have a toy/diecast show in RI every few months at a K of C Hall in Cranston - Last one was October and the next probably will not be until Jan. Feb. I will post it when I get the card in the mail. Also if you check I believe they have show dates in Mass. There is also the Mass Modelers show - I think in South Attleboro.

The show they did last April at the hotel was a disaster because the hotel double-booked events. It was cramped and some vendors were set up in the lobby!
Last December, the show was around the corner from the hotel at a Pratt & Whitney employees club or something like that. It was one of their best shows! Lots of room and lots more vendors!
I'm surprised they are moving the event to Wallingford; perhaps the P&W place isn't available. Doesn't matter, Wallingford is about the same distance for me. I'll be looking for my post card.
Wow! A 9 year old thread resurrected!

Lol, when I was told about this thread, I at first thought that Rob Parkhurst had returned from the lost!!!!!

This thread was actually the genesis for what would become the "Johnny Jam" group. Seeing Rob's question made me wonder just what other Hobby Talker's were in the area, which led to me keeping an eye out for other local guys.

Eventually I invited Rob, Dave A., and Bill Hicks to meet for coffee (there should be a thread somewhere talking about that first get-together in late 2005) and that started a friendship between Dave, Bill, and myself that has lasted eight years now. We hadn't yet met Rob "ECChopper" Irving, or you, Mark.

Rob Parkhurst is kind of like the Pete Best of the Johnny Jam crew, lol. He was there at the very start, but quickly fell by the wayside. He was invited, but never attended the first Johnny Jam. I remember him as a pretty nice guy. Liked him much better than that Antonelli guy or that Hicks dude ! Had some pics from that coffee night, but they were lost when my first computer crashed.

Wow, that wasn't too hard to find; just had to check Rob's profile, since he hasn't posted much in several years:
